Bit by bit

“You know me inside and out, you know every bone in my body; You know exactly how I was made, bit by bit, how I was sculpted from nothing into something.” Psalms 139:15 and quoted from The Purpose Driven Life.

Was reading this today and it dawned on me (more like God hit me over the head with it) that the name I have chosen for my blog is perfect.

In today’s blog I want to give a small recap of my migraine history so I have it in writing. I would skip this part if I were you, but if you do continue to read I must remind you of my disclaimer to be seated in a comfortable and safe position just in case you should suddenly succumb to total boredom and pass out.

No migraine today! Weather warm and windy. Spent much of the day outside; golfing this morning (best round yet) with Sharon, Peggy, and Jennifer. Then this evening, I walked Maggie and planted the tomato plants I bought and fertilized the flowers.

Yesterday Jason gave me my allergy shot under Charlotte’s supervision. He does a great job! No migraine yesterday either. No migraine after last weeks shot, so it’s been 2 weeks!

Two weeks ago; first migraine since my shots were reduced to half strength 5 weeks ago. Possible triggers; altered sleep pattern from Post prom, evergreen tree pollen I noticed blowing in air, varied weather conditions, or simply the stress of deadlines, party planning, graduation, and motherhood.

Hoping today was not just a fluke. I’m really trying to focus on this golf thing! It’s a little easier right now since the weather is decent. When it gets hot it may not go so well. Adverse conditions really effect my game (at least the part between my ears) because I am a delicate flower, you know. Yesterday I attended a sand trap clinic then went to the range with Jason. I enjoyed it and was not quite so hard on myself. Monday was a great golf day. Both boys played in 4A Regional golf. Jason tied for 6th place with an 82 and Ryan’s score counted with an 88. AHS took 1st place and qualified for state next Tues. Tom and I both went and, though he won’t admit it, he was bustin’ his buttons with pride!

This weekend is Memorial weekend. We have no plans. It snuck up on us so fast since it’s early this year. The boys will have golf practice so it’s a good thing we had no plans to go out of town. Tomorrow is Ryan’s last day of school as a high school freshman. He has changed so much this year. He has been driving to school since October, he is now almost as tall as Jason, he has a girlfriend. I’m sure having him and Jason home this summer will make me crazy, but for now, I’m looking forward to it!
